History
Born in the Golmore Jungle, and trained to be a warden of the forest, the young Viera decided that this wasn't the life for him. He found himself in Dalmasca and quickly ended up falling into vice due to his trusting and accommodating nature. Soon he was in massive debt to dangerous people. Velvet took to dancing to pay his debts, and learned the Dancer's arts as well as being an accomplished archer. He picked up the guitar in his spare time and became quite proficient. He was starting to dig his way out of the hole he'd gotten himself into, when he bet big... and lost bigger. He could not pay up, and a bounty was placed on his head. A Sky Pirate by the name of Godfrid Ironsoul took pity on Velvet, and offered to purchase his debt. This was no act of benevolence, however, and Velvet quickly came to realize that he had traded massive debt with risk of prison or injury, for servitude.
